About

Haggettsville was surrounded by lush fields of rolling hills in nearly all directions. To the north and east, the forest ruled as far as the eye could see. Intersecting the lot was a freshwater stream that pushed gently from what appeared to be the forest center, slipping between those hills and past the irrigated farms that crowded the east side. It then crossed the simple road where a makeshift bridge provided for traffic, on the odd chance that some might happen by.
To be sure, it appeared as serene as serene could be. Nature had clearly found its footing here. It’was only too easy to appreciate, but then there was the matter of those haunting tales which were just too many to ignore.

This is the legend of the Great Raff of Kirkland as told in detail with historical aspects regarding the unintentional founding of Haggettsville and its relation to the Heart of the Dark, a notoriously haunted and, thereby, vacated wood. Here is the true tale of that well-storied thief, his placement in History and how it even came to impact the future rule of a kingdom.

Consequences. Oh, how they be many and always so.
