About

Michele van Rensburg was born and raised in Apartheid South Africa.  She developed her social conscience through voluntary work in disadvantaged communities.  She later moved to the United Kingdom where she became a child protection social worker and university lecturer.  Her life's experiences inspired her to write about her beloved South Africa, where the human spirit endured despite life's challenges.  

She is now retired and lives in North Yorkshire, England, where writing historical fiction set in South Africa, allows her to return to her roots.
