the Amazing Adventures of Jimmy Crikey

The first standalone story that developed into a series of seven titles, Jimmy Crikey was the alien orphaned on Earth after his Intergalactic ambassador parents died. He was left in the care of a kindly ‘Aunt’ Ethel. Endowed with a bright red mop of hair, big blue eyes, pointed ears and enormous feet, the neighbourhood children ridiculed and bullied Jimmy until he decided to run away. In his midnight flight through the forest, he stumbled into the subterranean world of Roombelow. He rescued the town from the curse of the sleeping spell cast by Mf the well, became Jimmy’s atilda the Witch and was ‘adopted’ by Mr McDonald, the Mayor. Matilda and Gemma, the little lady Jimmy found living at the bottom of the well, but doesn't know how she got there,  become close friends. Aunt Ethel explained that Jimmy can return to his birth home in a starship hidden in the forest.  But, Jimmy chooses to remain in Roombelow, and more adventures befall the young man who grows into a hero on both sides of the sky.
