Quest for the KhiMara, Part 1

Anteri Vasdegahm, former Captain-Major in the western Republic of Alacor’s Navy, is banished from his homeland when he chooses to resign his commission to search for his wife, who was kidnapped during the recently concluded war against the Awrvichen Empire. Subsequent events persuade him to set out on a quest to find and take for himself the KhiMara, one of several ancient gems believed to be imbued with magical powers...and to be in the possession of the evil wizard Abana Dian’Boa.

In the distant northern Kingdom City of Atharu, Elvin Princess Alexia Castellanos is unhappy with her sheltered life and trains to be a warrior, knowing well that she will never be allowed to serve as one. Though she does not believe in them, she curses the Elvin gods...and soon faces the consequences. Now, with the fate of her soul hanging in the balance, the gods command that she journey across the land of Ehlehar to the western nation of Alacor, take the KhiMara gem from he who possesses it by any means necessary, and deliver it to the gods of Mount Ventari.

In the eastern nation of Khrumahla, Toku Kana, daughter of the mixed human-Elvin-feline Ligerans, faces the trials to become a member of the Scarlet Sisterhood, the warrior cast of her people. After the trials she is assigned to retrieve a stolen magical qatana and return it to she from whom it was stolen—Queen Chansha of the pure-blood Ligerans...sworn enemy of her people. Then, once she has completed her mission, her orders are to journey to the western nation of Alacor, obtain the ancient magical gem known as the KhiMara, and return home with it.
