Tonya Burrows wrote her first romance at thirteen and never looked back. Originally from a small town in Western New York, she’s a firm believer that wanderlust is a lifestyle and is always planning her next trip abroad or detour to a National Park.

She writes broody military heroes, fierce heroines, and the loyal K9s who bring them together. Her stories are packed with emotion, danger, and the kind of love that digs deep and doesn’t let go. The dogs in her books are heroic and fearless—unlike her own, who think the vacuum is out to get them.

She lives with her husband (her number one fan) and a house full of furbabies: Penelope, a shy goldendoodle who prefers quiet cuddles and routine; Pandora, a happy, oblivious bernedoodle built like a mini tank and powered by pure joy; and Scribble the Writer Cat, who doesn’t know how to meow properly and insists on editing every manuscript (for better or worse). Together, they provide unconditional love, constant distraction, and a home that runs on cuddles, chaos, and cat hair.

When she’s not writing, Tonya is usually bingeing true crime documentaries, dancing to Broadway show tunes in the kitchen, or critiquing bakers on TV—even though she can barely boil water.
