About

An unapologetic activist and idealist who writes to 'nudge the world a little', Lorraine (Rainey) Cobcroft loves to write stories that examine issues of social justice and cultural diversity.

Educated by an astonishingly diverse range of life experiences, living in four countries, Lorraine spent nearly three decades working as a technical, instructional and business writer. In semi-retirement, she took up writing fiction. Delving deep into the hearts and minds of people who live, love and grow in challenging worlds, she strives to create unforgettable characters with intriguing pasts, shine lights in dark corners, and cheer unsung heroes.

A dreamer and romantic, Lorraine lives, with her husband of 50+ years, on small acreage in the far northern part of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Apart from reading, writing, and reviewing books, she loves sewing, gardening, bush and beach walks, travel, and spending time with her adored grandchildren.
