About
Larry Wasion is the author of the critically acclaimed five-book Jump Gate Series. He has been published in assorted magazines and featured in the recently published Amazing Robots!! Anthology. A lifelong space, science, and science-fiction nerd, he was also a veteran of the US Navy, followed by a decade as a heavy metal and jazz musician. After his years exploring his many personal facets, he built an impressive career associated with the high-tech, leading-edge, high-pressure environments of Aerospace and Oceanography.
His career included sending samplers, lighting equipment, and cameras to benthic depths. If you have seen the eerie ghost of the once elegant Titanic or Black Smokers in the mid-Atlantic rift, you likely were peering through cameras he helped manufacture, possibly mounted on the myriad of undersea ROVs supported by the world of extreme deep-water technology.
Putting his long career behind him, he decided to write the tales that he had dreamt of since he discovered sci-fi at the age of nine. His adventurous attitude is reflected in his future-history chronicles, which track a family through three generations. His Jump Gate Series begins with a quirky time machine that evolves into a powerful jump gate over the first five books: JG I - Time Chair, JG II - Teleporter, JG III - RoadMaker, and JG IV - Jump Gate.
The Jump Gate universe is currently being further explored in the Milky Way’s Great Garbage Patch. The newest title is Jump Gate V – Gyre.
Larry lives in Tucson, Arizona.
