About

Kevin McCarthy is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts with a distinguished career as in investigator in both the public and private sector. And while he does use all that he’s learned about the human psyche from that career in his writing, for the most part he does not write about crime. Mr. McCarthy’s inclinations turn more toward examining the human spirit in all its guises, both good and bad.

His first two published books; Tales From Where the Road Ends volumes one and two do this with a bent toward the unusual; think The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror. If you enjoy stories about people dealing with the odd and unusual, and an old-fashioned ghost story thrown in for good measure then these are stories for you.

In a hard turn away from this genre his first published novel; The Color of Oceans, takes place in a much more ordinary and everyday setting. It’s the story of a recovering alcoholic trying to put his life back together against daunting odds.
